How London Laravel projects typically run
Most London Laravel projects I work on are either new builds or rescues. New builds start with a scoping conversation, a written brief and a fixed-price quote for phase one. From there the work moves into two-week sprints with weekly check-ins.
Rescue work starts with an audit. I read the code, run the test suite if there is one, check the deployment setup, review the database schema and document the state of the application. That audit takes a few days and gives the client a written plan they can act on.
For SaaS founders especially, the value of a senior developer is in the calls that do not happen. Architecture decisions made once, properly, that do not need to be undone. Database schemas that do not need to be migrated again in six months. Test suites that catch real regressions. That is the work.

Can you join our team in London for a few days a week?
Most engagements are remote-first. For projects where in-person work makes a real difference, day visits to London can be arranged. I do not do full-time on-site work.
What is your stance on AI-assisted development?
I use AI tooling for productive tasks where it helps. Code review, test scaffolding, documentation work, query plan analysis. I do not use AI to write significant portions of application code without review. Every line that ships is read by me first.
How do you handle the gap between freelance and agency work?
I work as both. For some London clients I am a direct freelance hire. For others I work white-label inside an agency. The setup matches the project rather than a fixed model.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes for any commercial project. Mutual NDAs are standard and I am happy to sign yours.
