Statamic suits a specific kind of project
Statamic is not WordPress, and it is not Craft CMS. It is a flat-file content system that sits on Laravel, a popular PHP framework. Flat-file means content is kept in files, not a database. Editors get a clean control panel, with no plugin marketplace to manage.
It suits small teams that publish steady content. Set up badly, editors avoid it and updates stop. That is where I come in.
Statamic work I take on
- Takeovers Your developer or agency has moved on. The code, addons, hosting and logins get checked and written down first.
- Upgrades Old versions moved to the current one, with each addon tested on a copy first.
- Fixes Broken pages, broken forms, broken deploys. I find the cause, fix it on a copy and put it live.
- Add-ons that stopped working An add-on is an extra feature plugged into the site. If one breaks or its maker drops it, I fix it or write a small one to replace it.
- White-label for UK agencies Support under your brand, for agencies with no Statamic depth in-house.
- Monthly Statamic support Updates, security checks and time for small changes, quoted for your site after a look.
Statamic migrations
A Statamic migration means moving the site to new hosting, or from an old Statamic version to the current one. Both happen on a copy first, and the live site stays up until the copy passes every check.
I no longer move sites onto Statamic from WordPress or Craft CMS, because that is a new build.

When the publishing team is small, the content is structured and editors value a clean control panel over plugin choice. Large editorial teams with complex sign-off steps are better served elsewhere.
How does Statamic licensing work for agencies?

Can we use Statamic with our existing Laravel application?
Yes. Statamic sits on Laravel and can run beside an existing Laravel app, which suits a marketing site or blog on the same setup. I can look after both parts.
How long does a Statamic upgrade take?
It depends on how far behind the site is and how many add-ons it uses. After a first look, you get a fixed price and a start date. Each version step is tested on a copy, so the live site stays up.
